I’ve tried umpteen different photos (jpg.s), making sure they are under 50KB and not more than 499×499. I just don’t understand it. :y32b4:

Well, that worked OK – except for the nasty Childcatcher in the background. No idea what your problem is, Judith.

Do you remember – both you (as an administrator) and I, failed to upload a very small photographic avatar for me, some time ago. I must put a jinx on it :unsure: :blink:See ? I’m with Judith.
I just clicked "Browse" next to the "Select Image file to attach" box, and selected the file. Its name appeared in the empty box and I sent it.
Do you have to do something with the IMG button too, I wonder ? Let me try something…

Nope. You select the file and hit the IMG button and an IMG tag appears in the text box. Then you submit it and…
BTW, how come Malcy’s platinum at fifty-something, when Judith said she hit it at 90? Gordon, are you messing with the bands?
Attaching another Clare pic, just to see what happens. Never touched the button, just pressed Browse…, double-clicked the file and pressed submit.
Malcy, was yours no more than 499×499 and 50Kb?
Oh! Got Judith’s message about alphanumerics and spaces, and no image posted. Trying again, just to check, with the Childcatcher one I posted earlier . . .
Yep, got it. You need to follow the DOS file-naming conventions. The message about alphanumerics was referring to the filename, not the file contents. So your pic file names must contain letters and numbers only, no spaces and no punctuation or non-standard characters (no !£$%^&*()-+=/|<>#~@ ,etc) – although you should be able to get away with an underscore character _ in lieu of a space.
So, Judith and Malcy, please rename your test files something simple like test01.jpg (I’d avoid .jpeg just in case, without knowing whether it would work) and try posting them again.
