Jake gig 2009 in the dales?

Last weekend I stayed in The Hobbit about 1000 feet above Sowerby Bridge and met these three charming young ladies who looked exactly the same. In with a chance here I thought and discovered it was one very busy lady named Jaqui and on chatting her up I discovered her dad was a Royal Marine about the time I was a young man whizzing about in helicopters in far flung lands. It seems her dad was probably one of my passengers.

So I chatted to Mark about Jake and he knows many of Jake’s songs. Not only that but he also runs a recording studio and is well in with many of the local Yorkshire balladeers; as sort of ‘next generation’ to our Jake.
The Hobbit has a space for an ‘artiste’ or two and Mark would rig the sound system. It occurs to me that it would be a great spot to do a Jake gig and most could stay at the Hobbit and when filled up there are two or three other hostelries close by for the latecomers. Any takers?
