Just caught up with this, as I only refresh these podcasts sporadically.
On 18th April Jon Boden chose Sister Josephine for his splendid ‘Folk Song A Day’ project. The notes to the song (including a link to this very site!) and listeners’ comments can be found via this link:

I subscribed to Jon’s Folk song a day when it started as it was recommended by a number of musician friends. Somehow, I missed this one!
Time for a listen, but I have to say that I’m not sure Jon’s delivery is appropriate (if there is such a thing). :silly:I’d have to agree. I’m a fan of Jon’s, enjoy Bellowhead, and applaud his championing of folk music generally but I can’t say his delivery does Sister Jo any real favours. However, I do love the fact that he regards it as part of the continuum – it’s nice to see Jake rubbing shoulders with the most enduring songs of our tradition.
