Well I never !
Day 3 (or is it 4 ?) of sorting out my loft and I stumbled across my tickets to see Jake at Mold’s Theatr Clwyd on Tuesday, October 1st !985. The cover price was £3.
Aw.
I’ll slip it into the vinyl of “& Songs”, just so I know where it is. (How on earth it ended up in the loft is beyond me ? It must have seemed like a good idea at the time !)

4 April 2020 at 4:59 pm #6978Paul, I fear that sort of computer technology is way beyond me.
I could Whatsapp it to you. Is it safe to give out mobile phone numbers ?
Hughie4 April 2020 at 11:34 pm #6979Hi Hugh
No problem. Show it to me when we have the next Jakefest!
Stay safe.

Sorry for being a technophobe.
Hughie5 April 2020 at 12:26 am #6981Paul, my wife’s had an idea. She reckons that if there’s an e -mail address to which I could forward a pic of the ticket then that might be a way round it. Does that make any sense ?
Hughie5 April 2020 at 12:40 am #6982Talking of photographs (?) I have a piece of paper with both Jake AND Alan Williams’ autographs (from Parkgate Folk Club). I could photograph that for posterity if anyone would like that.
See what you think.
H5 April 2020 at 2:35 am #6983That would be great. Email P_A_M_Thompson(a)hotmail.com.
Cheers!

24 May 2020 at 5:24 pm #7018When I began this “topic” some seven weeks ago now I mentioned that I had found the said admission ticket in my loft , having had no idea how it had found its way up there. Well, just by way of finishing off the subject, just the other day I found the “original” paper that Jake and Alan signed for me in Parkgate (the photograph my wife sent to Paul was a photocopy I had kept in the sleeve of the “and Songs” album). What puzzled me was why I had ever thought it was a good idea to “hide it away” in an cardboard envelope which contained an Injured Jockeys Fund Calendar for 1980 something ?? Anyway, that’s where it was ! It is now in its rightful place (you know…..where it should have been in the first place… remind me if I ever forget…. !).
