I never need much excuse to play the “On Again ! On Again” album but it’s become a regular part of my Christmas Eve ritual nowadays (as opposed to “drinking heavily”, which is what I used to do !)
I have , however, raised another glass to the great man, even though I suspect he wouldn’t approve of such fawning ! (” If you must put people on pedestals wear a big hat”) Sorry Jake, but, once again, thanks for everything.Thank you for the annual reminder, Hugh. It doesn’t seem that long, does it?
I am pleased to see more and more people appreciating some of the best written songs in the English language these days, so I will raise a glass to Jake’s memory when I get a night off on Friday and then sing something appropriate on Sunday night. :cheer:
