Hiya Dave, I’ve just had a lovely look around your place (we have all the same interests πŸ™‚ but I couldn’t get the wild birds to load. Have you taken some pics off?
I miss Blue Tits and Black Caps out here, although thanks to the Assimilation Society, New Zealand does have Blackbirds and Thrushes.
Excellent site though, I can’t believe how alike we must be to love birds, bodhran, Celtic music, Jake and photography πŸ™‚

The reference to bodhrans suggests that this Dave is probably Dave Harris, but I could be wrong! Somebody post a link again ……….please πŸ˜‰

Are emoticons and colours etc here Gordon?

By the way, great minds think alike SJ!

Ah, you want the full bells and whistles do you Dave Harris‘ site I was talking about (www.g8ina.enta.net)

All Dave’s hobbies have been mine for many years (and still are, come to that), although I had to give up playing bodhran when my wrists played up on me. πŸ™

I also have an interest in the SAS :y32b4: and have read probably every book about and by them.

can I use on this board?   πŸ˜† B) πŸ˜‰

I *really* must keep up more with the rapidly changing contents of this bus.

Sr J – I have a sneaky feeling I know you, but as you are NZ it is doubtful.

Thanks for the kind comments re my birdy pics. I’ve recently got a close 4th out of 92 for my Crow on photo-sense.co.uk (another great photo place.

Like you, have tended to lay off the Bod playing due to Arthur and his itis, along with my mortal, enemy, Fibromyalgia.

Cosmo’s dad is a close buddy of mine on the circuit (both him and LoofyMac), and I used to be a regular steward at Towersey, Chester, Warwick etc, before I took to my bed, so know quite a few of "those types" πŸ™‚

Updates now on http://www.g8ina.enta.net photo pages as I have a new Nikon D70 to play with.

I haven’t *always* lived in New Zealand. I spent many years in UK and Cornwall and haunted most of the folk festivals, so you never know, you may know me…although perhaps not in the Biblical sense. There’s time yet though!

                >Thanks for the kind comments re my birdy pics. I’ve recently got a close 4th >out of 92 for my Crow on photo-sense.co.uk (another great photo place.

I must go back and see if I can get them to load. The crow came up, very cheeky, well done with the placing.

Bit of a bummer eh but as long as other parts of us work all hope is not lost…

Les was a huge hit at the Auckland Folk Fest in (I think) 2003. I know the rest of the site was deserted as 8,000+ people tried to cram into the marquee where he was performing.

Hope you have interesting people in that bed with you πŸ™‚

My smilies have stopped working…..as the actress said to the Bishop.
I’m clicking on emoticons but nowts coming up – story of my life. Ah well, here goes, an emoticonless post πŸ™
