Digital Jake?

I see Apple Computer has released the iTunes Music Store for the UK offering the same catalog as we in the States have enjoyed. I started wondering if perhaps digital offering of Jake’s music might not be a way to go. It certainly would seem a lot less expensive than producing a physical CD, printing lables and liners and such. I’ve only been able to get my hands on only 2 CDs of Jakes music and I know there’s a lot I’m missing. As one who has used the US iTunes Music Store, it works very well and the audio quality of the AAC files used by the site is quite nice indeed.

UPDATE: Well I took at look at the new UK iTunes Music Store and, surprise!, there was a listing for Jake’s “La-Di-Dah” CD. I already have that one but hopefully we’ll see other recordings listed. Since I also have “Very Best of ..” CD as well (as some old vinal recordings) I hope to see “The Jake Thackray Collection” posted soon since I have had several unsuccessful attempts finding a copy. If Jake’s fans keep asking with any luck sooner or later someone will positively respond.
