[quote]I thought it went quite well but then I’m biased! I took quite a few photos and will try and sort them soonish. In the meantime here’s one of Seasick Jamie McCoanIan
This needs a bit of an explanation!

30 March 2010 at 6:59 pm #5810Sorry, Ian – credit where it’s due….lovely photo! :woohoo:
31 March 2010 at 2:04 pm #5812Fine photo, Ian. And there are more to come , you said … Would someone else have a bit of sound to share as well ?
And for the coming months … aren’t « CRUNCHY PIES » ( … and FROGLAND SAVOURIES ) part of « EVENTS 2010 » and shouldn’t they find a place here as well as in the « IDLE CHIT-CHAT » threads ?
Wouldn’t they attract a few more … gourmets ?
Michel6 April 2010 at 12:33 am #5813Doh, I’ve been on this site before but not for a while, so my own fault for missing the Knutsford show, which is all of half an hour away from me
Is there a mailing list to be notified of events, or will anything new be posted in this thread?

6 April 2010 at 9:06 pm #5815I find I get notification that something has been posted on here, so I check it when I can. Sometimes I miss things, but my own fault for not checking straight away!
10 May 2010 at 2:29 am #5831Hi there. I will be performing my own ‘umble ‘omage to Jake at the Buxton Fringe festival this July- for details google the Buxton Fringe. I have been playing some of Jake’s songs at Club Acoustic in Buxton for several years (a great folk/roots club every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at the Eagle Hotel on the market place)This year, due to popular demand(!) I’m taking a one man show to the festival- and boy have I been working hard on Jake’s song for the past few months. He was a genius, and I want to try and do his work justice. All Jake fans welcome, or do just get in touch. Keith Smith
11 May 2010 at 1:02 am #5833I had a request for “The Blacksmith and the Toffeemaker” last week as someone had heard it performed at the Sale folk club. Keep spreading the Jake songs everybody! 😉
24 May 2010 at 1:23 am #5843As Jake’s guitar style is such an integral part of his songs, I find myself (not a guitarist) at a disadvantage. Nevertheless, I performed ‘Old Molly Metcalfe’ at the Rolling Hills folk club in Melrose last Friday. I’m doing my bit…
