I’ve been trying to find a copy of "The Jake Thackray Collection" CD, (HMV 5940842 – Released: November 2003) with no luck. For such a recent release this collection has proved most elusive. I did find one place that had it listed in stock (and at a reasoable price!) but when I tried to place an order they weren’t setup to deal with customers outside the UK. Here in Illinois I can only find what I already have on CD and vinyl, and what I can purchase online for download I also have. I’ve been a Jake fan since I pleasantly happened upon his recordings in 1972. Can anyone help me find a place I can find this elusive CD?

Malcy noted recently that this one seems to have been deleted. I guess we should try to find out whether that was intentional and if so, why. The committee members have a contact or two, and with luck one will get to the bottom of this.
However that doesn’t solve your problem. If you can find a copy available in the UK let me know and I will happily buy it and send it on to you. I just checked my local HMV and they no longer have even the divider with Jake’s name on.
I found a copy listed at Powerplaydirect.com for £6.99 but when I tried to place an order I was informed they weren’t set up to handle non-UK customers at this time.
I’d appreciate any help getting a copy of the CD since any chance I have of visting England is at least one or two years away at best.
