Jake on the Box

This is a plea for help. I had Jake on the Box safely recorded and stored on my PVR. I knew I should archive it to DVD but never got round to buying a DVD recorder. Now my PVR has blown up, taking Jake on the Box with it. If anyone can help me replace it I’d be eternally grateful.

I have a copy on dvd but don’t we get into trouble with copyright issues if we start “sharing” such things ?

I’m not sure. The programme hasn’t been released for sale on DVD, so it’s not copyright contravention in that sense. By sharing it we wouldn’t be evading any retail cost. The reality is that I had my own copy. I ‘paid’ to see it and record it through my licence fee. I lost the recording by accident. I wouldn’t be paying you for it, no one would be making any money. I’d be very grateful for a copy, but I fully understand if you’re uncomfortable with it.

Hello David.
Sorry if my earlier response sounded negative. It’s just that I’m not too good at “copying” from one source to another (bit of a luddite, in truth). It reads as though you have a more reliable offer elsewhere anyway so I hope that works out for you.
Perhaps you’ll keep us informed.
