John Watterson album launch – Wednesday 9 November

There will be an official launch event for John Watterson’s new album, The LOST Will and Testament of Jake Thackray, on Wednesday 9 November, 7 till 9pm, in the Circle bar at Leeds City Varieties.

The plan is to bring together a room full of Jake’s friends and fans (and the odd special guest?), turning it into something of a reunion, as well as a celebration of the album release.

Entrance is free, but the event is ticketed so that numbers can be managed.

The format is as follows:
6.45 – 7.15 Arrival – cash bar available
7.15 – 7.30 Welcome by John Watterson and project co-conspirator Paul Thompson.
Brief presentation on the background to the album and the discovery of the songs.
7.30 – 8.30 Live performance of a selection of the songs
8.30 – 8.45 Discussion/Q & A
8.45 Thanks and close

We may notl ‘roll the carpet right back’, but it promises to be a great night.
