Organ Donor Register

Just about the only thing I do of which I’m not thoroughly ashamed is being a blood donor.
On a recent communication from the Blood and Transplant section of the NHS there was a promotional flyer in favour of the Organ Donor Register and it featured a photo of a young lady who “received a life-saving double lung transplant five years ago”. Her name ? Emily Thackray.
Probably a coincidence but too good an opportunity to miss highlighting the outstanding service provided by the service.
