Good Afternoon,
I am new to the site and am unsure if this question is appropriate, please forgive me if it is not! But I am running out of options, and thought this may be the best place to ask for help!
I am in desperate search of a copy of the above show, I attended the premier in Helmsley in 2005 as a gift for my partner and we both loved the production, this is a special Christmas present for my partner and would be so greatful if anyone can point me in the direction of someone who can help.
Kindest Regards x
30 October 2008 at 2:26 pm #5431It’s appropriate, and there’s probably nowhere better to ask it. I know the last night in Leeds was filmed with a view to making a DVD, but I’ve heard nothing since. The web site has gone, and with Ian Watson now dead, I suspect the project is also dead (there were at one stage plans to rewrite it and put it on again). However there are people here (certainly Sarah, maybe Gordon) who will know more, I am sure.
30 October 2008 at 5:08 pm #5432I have a DVD of "Sister Josephine Kicks The Habit", it’s a final approval copy that I got from Ian Watson. It was recorded at the City Varieties in Leeds.
I’m considering selling it on eBay to boost my funds for buying a new car. Interested parties should keep their eyes peeled.
3 November 2008 at 8:58 pm #5436Pam posted this on the Jake Thackray Topica site last Thursday:
Just tried to post this at http://www.jakethackray.com/ but despite being logged in I’m getting a "disabled public access message". A new member called Kjack has posted a message there three times about the Sister Josephine Kicks the Habit DVD. I’ve got a copy and if no others are available might be able to help Kjack out. Please can someone pass that message on for me?
Pam
No idea why Pam couldn’t post here. Anyway, kjack, if you’re interested you can get in touch with Pam by going to the Topica site (you’ll need to register if you haven’t already, and wait a short while for approval), opening her post, clicking her name and writing to her in the ‘private message’ box that will appear. The Topica site is here: http://lists.topica.com/lists/jakethackray/read
4 November 2008 at 11:28 pm #5448The DVD was available through the website, now moved to http://www.thethackrayarms.com/ but since the death of Ian Watson they are now unavailable
Cheers
