Feeling very deprived………….. πŸ™

and a bit cross too 😑

because I can’t open the featured video πŸ™

Can any of you technophobes help? When I’m logged in on my own computer I try to open the video clip, and am told I need to download a new version of Quick time. I’ve done that several times, but it doesn’t work. Why why why???? I follow all instructions, but it just doesn’t want to download to my computer.

And so I tried to log on on another computer; I’m accepted as a member online, but under “Login” the box is still there, instead of the friendly “Hi, Pam” that I usually see. And even though my name is there as a member online, the video and MP3 aren’t available to me there. Grrrrrrrrr. If anyone can find a way to let me see that video, please please tell me, as I’d really love to see it.

Oh, and while I’m at it, I can see how to send personal messages, but not how to access them.

Good luck with your house move Gordon!

Its a conspiracy and we are all in on the joke. There is no video clip we are just pretending knowing that you will try to watch it. ( insert Dr Evil type laugh at this point) πŸ˜› only jokiing,

I wonder, Pam, when you download the QuickTime update, whether you install the downloaded program. If you choose to Save to Disk then that’s all that happens and you will need to find the saved file and launch it to install the update. If however you choose to Open then, once it’s downloaded, the installer will open and prompt you. If you don’t recall being prompted to click Next by the QT update installer then you probably just downloaded the installer file and need to find it and double-click it.

As for your login problem, I wonder whether you’d logged off the first machine, because if you hadn’t you would still be recognised as a member on line for some time after you quit IE or switched off your machine.

Good luck!

Sounds like the problem my son Matthew had, Pam. I sent him the website address and told him to register and log on, and that the links for the video and MP3 would magically appear in the Main Menu. But they didn’t. Gordon emailed him saying:
”Sorry you are having problems. You will need javascript and cookies
enabled in your browser” But I haven’t heard if that did him any good.

I puzzled over this, but it’s too easy (for simple souls like you and me!) Click on PM in one of your own postings, then when you get to the messaging page click on Inbox, and if there is a new message it will be indicated by a yellow envelope.

See you soon ~ Judith πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

Thanks all! Yes, this business of logging off is a bit much for someone as forgetful as me………… πŸ˜‰ I shall try the Quick Time thingy again, Keith, and follow your advice.
