            Would it be okay for me to precis Jake’s introduction to “The Brigadier” as featured on “….and Songs”, or are there some copyright restrictions ? It certainly makes clear his views on people who come along and sort of “take over” !

                Great song – my current favourite and the first on my list to learn. I won’t perform it the National Convention of Brigadiers though.

                  Keep practising! It is a dream to perform, especially to any group with an average age over about 50 – they fully understand and remember the reality behind this song! I have sung this at a range of accoustic nights and folk clubs and it never fails!

                    A great song yes but Jake was always reluctant to sing it anywhere he thought such people might be present in the audience.
