Jake’s masterpiece, ‘The Bull’, is not currently available on CD. However, it is available as a download from HMVdigital, for the princely sum of 79 pence.
The Bull is on a CD produced by HMV in 2003 and called – The jake thackray collection. They airbrushed his cigarette out of his hand on the album cover! That CD may not be available any more, except perhaps on ebay or something, but it’s worth looking for; it has 22 good tracks.
79 pence seems like a bargain anyway!

That’s the CD from their "Easy" collection. They discontinued the entire collection just a few months after releasing the Jake CD. I’ve only seen it once on eBay and never on Gemm. I infer from this that the few people who bought it were genuine Jake fans and have no intention of selling their copy.
Hi, I’ve just seen this post and went straight to HMV Digital, but they are only selling the CDs, I can’t see where to get a download of a single track. And "The Bull" isn’t on the CDs. Please help?
Click on the link below to go to the right place, then type ‘Thackray’ into the ‘Search and Listen’ box and click enter; this should get you to all the digital Thackray material.

Coincidentally, what is only the second copy (AFAIK) of the "Easy" CD has just appeared on eBay, with a starting bid of 99p and postage of £1.60.
