Great song – my current favourite and the first on my list to learn. I won’t perform it the National Convention of Brigadiers though.

I’m going to start learning to sing/play some of my current favourites, although I’ve only just started listening to him recently. I think I’ll start with ‘Lah-Di-Dah’ and ‘Last Testament’. I might also try learning Country Boy to sing at church.

In the end I’ll sound nothing like the original, but there great songs in their own right so you just have to do them in a style you feel comfortable with, that’s what’s great about folk music as opposed to, er, ‘Stars in Your Eyes’.

Thanks for the welcomes. Pam – some woman at church told me about Jakefest – of course I thought she was totally off her rocker, but I wouldn’t have said that to her. (actually, she’s the one who’s recently got me into him).
